Oracle Sees Takeover Opportunities OCTOBER 11, 2008
If any company wants Actuate, now is the time. Challenge is they can offer $5/share and steal it. I would be shocked if Oracle doesn't make a bid for Actuate and/or Informatica in the next 30 days as they are steals.
I do not think ACTU would sell that cheap.....their will be more then one bidder, if it starts out cheap....ORCL or IBM , or MSFT , will not allow ACTU to slip threw their fingers, at a cheap price...ACTU is a Strategic Play....with an , " in play ", new Grounded , Distribution Strategy ,of getting Embeded , with Global Clients. with best of breed , ubicquity tec platform , that others do not have or say , they have.....ACTU will now be able to provide deeper penetration , then the now existing only 5% , into todays customer base , as per CCalls,,..............That is the 95% growth story , the big boys want, for their share holders......& someone will pay for that growth....& not have to R & D. the product......& stop someone else from buying ACTU, cause , you may not want to compete, against ACTU in the market place....Hard Act To Follow....IMHO....
I agree that if Oracle or any other company makes a bid at $5 share, then Actuate will solicit bids from IBM and others to drive the price up. I wouldn't be surprised though if Oracle starts at $5 very soon. They have nothing to lose.
