    Creation of the perfect storm

Wow! Up more than I thought it would be. What HITK has done has created a temporary environment where folks will hold and not sell to get the dividend because the earnings were not all that bad. End of the day will be interesting. Way to go Robin!

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • "folds will hold and not sell to the dividend" - - - it doesn't quite work that way. The stock will go down $1.50 on the dividend is scheduled. The earnings only confirms that there was stability in the stock that permitted it to issue a dividend. The dividend was the result of several factors (I speculate) - one that the company had excess funds that it did not need, two that it had a stable outlook, three the likelihood that taxes was going to increase, and four that they were considering a dividend in the future on a regular basis and they moved up the decision to take advantage of the present tax situation (which effectively puts off a regular dividend by a year or two). Just my guesses.

Those who were suspecting that the company was falling apart have been denied satisfaction (at least for this quarter). Those who have expressed some confidence have been justified (at least for this quarter). I suspect that they will continue to make progress. BUT they need new products. They NEED fda approvals. I have been hearing for too long that they have all these applications awaiting approval - the underlying patents may not be expiring for some time, but they need to grow. And on the cc they seemed to suggest that such approvals are at least 6 months away - I think a nice 2013-14 and the following years may be very nice.
