If you have to pay for infrastructure..

there is high shipping costs...internet sales tax...and lots of competition...the online sales model may be doomed to low margins forever.

...of course it is....it was built right into the system from the very beginning...easy of entry, but even more importantly the use of shopping bots to do automated price comparison shopping for you at the click of a mouse.

...the internt is an absolute retail killing machine.

...also, look at how long Amazon has really been in business...this is about as good as it gets for them.

    • What you still don't get it is that you'll be paying for Amazon.com's infrastructure. The stock will rise forcing shorts to buy at higher price.

The stock market is not there to let you make rich. It's there for companies to raise money (by sucking money out of you) so that they can buy or pay for what they need.

Thank you...I've been trying to tell all the longs this for months.

This only lasts for so long and then investors disappear. Then we have P/Es of 8. It has happened before, it will happen again. Sigh! Probably not in my lifetime so I have to be content to buy good dividend paying stocks and to write covered calls against them. But even candidates for this are getting hard to find.
