on a day in which government numbers show an abysmal economy, the most overvalued stock on the exchange closes at new highs
no phukkkkking way
You have a short weenie
But no one yet in the potentially largest segment of that space that Amazon will probably address the lower end lower margin segment. And I sure am glad Amazon did not get into the laptop and notebook business.
Ah, market is already over 50 million and eating away at laptops and netbooks ...
"We were talking revenues"
Maybe you were. I don't think just revenues alone mean much.
"As for movie sales into the new tablet. We will see, you'd need to sell a LOT of tablets for that to work."
Except they already have an existing streaming business so this would be in addition to. And I'm sure they intend to sell a lot of tablets if they enter that market just as they've sold a lot of Kindles.
"every other tablet out there is less geared to shop in a browser and more geared to shop in specific shops."
From what I understand no many people seem that interested in those other tablets yet.
We were talking revenues - so e-books are a negative contributor there.
As for movie sales into the new tablet. We will see, you'd need to sell a LOT of tablets for that to work. Probably a lot of tablets at breakeven or even a loss ...
... meanwhile every other tablet out there is less geared to shop in a browser and more geared to shop in specific shops.
" If their media sales start shrinking"
What if the don't.
"Music is being stolen by iTunes"
You must not be familiar with industry statistics. It is Amazon that is stealing growth from Apple.
"Video (DVD) is being stolen by streaming"
Streaming to your future Amazon tablet that is from the Amazon digital media store.
"Books are turning into (cheaper) e-books"
With lower expense requirements no warehouses, no shipping.
Maybe. If their media sales start shrinking and they are the largest margin sales, it might change fast.
It's not hard for that to happen. Music is being stolen by iTunes, Video (DVD) is being stolen by streaming, Books are turning into (cheaper) e-books ... no wonder that media sales growth is running low.
Selling a LOT of electronics can keep the overall revenues high, but margins there will suck for sure, because all of it has to be shipped for free, is expensive to ship, and there's a LOT of competition.
It's not absurd if you understand the meaning of 218.32.
What is the meaning of 218.32?
ppt bought it hard. Bernanke doing stealth QE3 now.
Welcome to the Bernanke's world. Everything is like him, stupid.
