Do you know the concepts of valuation, market capitalization, shares outstanding, etc?
You CANNOT compare share prices directly.
AAPL is SEVERAL times CHEAPER than AMZN ...
(oh, and you don't seem to know much about tech either - from what is already known, AMZN's tablet is inferior to the iPad on every angle - try comperaing to the Nook color instead, though there's a Nook 2 coming right up too)
The market is other people, in the aggregate it is impossible to sell - someone will have to hold the hot potatoe on the way down, and rest assured that if earnings don't explode, there WILL be a lot of way down.
Forget it, he will never get.
While other's are looking what the market is telling them (and making a killing) he's insisting that he's right. The market is proving to him that he's wrong day after day after day until he's out of money.
Well, a lot of people rode that and more in other bubbles. It's what keeps attracting people to the bubbles...
Objectively this is trading at 109 times 2011's earnings, and those earnings are declining.
And with a lot of costs to get content and stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if the earnings kept declining into 2012, prompting a continuous downgrade of estimates, which has been going on for 1 1/2 years already.
Well 'choo-choo' my friend. Though I doubt Zon won't be hurt too much by Jerry Brown you have to admit that at some point that new tax law will catch up to Zon. You have to realize that even though that tax isn't being officially enforced yet that at a time in the future Ca. will find favor in the court system to collect ALL back sales and put a BIG hurt on Zon. They'll fly for now and through this X-mas for sure. But by 2014 watch out.
