Amazon--the ONLY company that is rewarded for LACK of Earnings?
"New Era" poster child #1. Amazon crows about using revenues and taking on costs to build for the future and gets rewarded. All I can say is good luck in all these ventures paying off. What if they don't? What if cash rich cloud competitors like Oracle and Google emerge? What if sales taxes crimp revenues? What if shipping costs rise? The risk is there. Maybe on Jan 29 the market wakes up and says, "what were we thinking (or smoking)?".
Millions of shares will have been distributed today, though not in the old school way. Add that to the scam AAPL/GOOG dump momo squeeze and cover in Q4 more has been distributed than people understand. There is a story here worthy of Bethany McLean's prior work...

What if Joe Montana gets intercepted in the super bowl? Lets let Joe worry about that. All I need to know is don't bet against him. What if there's a problem? Jeff will attend to it. He always has, and until he gives me an indication to the contrary, I'll assume he'll continue to attend to problems.
