Most people think that AMZN is a revenue growth machine and will increase rev +20% as far as the eye can see.
What would happen if AMZN misses revenue growth targets?
Another questions I've been thinking about is how would the institutions get out. Right now, the top ten institutional holders own 138.6M shares, or $35.2B worth of AMZN.
If a couple of those institutional holders crack, where would their shares go.
Put yourself in the position of one of the major institutional holders. For the sake of argument, let's say that there was an event that caused AMZN's story to change from rev growth to more fundamental analysis. How would you get out of the position if you owned a couple billion $$$ worth of the stock.
If I were one of the managers, this would keep me up at night.
"If I were one of the managers, this would keep me up at night."
Fund managez sleep just fine in their stone castlez. Its not their money at risk. Its other peoplez money in the fundz propped up by bernankez bond bubble of public finance. If sybs was one of theze guyz , sybs would put an 8 ball of quality sheit up sybs nose, fvck a hottie in front of the library room fire place and laugh sybs ars off.... Thats probably a more realistic picture of what iz going on.
I'll bet those institutions have analysts who've thought about it. I wouldn't worry about them. They'll be ok. The fact that so much AMZN is owned by professionally managed institutions validates my long position.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Short or long, do not use institutional ownership as a gauge of a stocks ability to stay afloat. Before CMG cratered it's % ownership was in excess of 100%. So was GMCR. I wasn't in NFLX but anyone here who was might recall.
Also I find it bizarre how Wall St responds to upgrades/downgrades from analysts. They release these free to the public press releases and no one wonders that they might be profiting from them?! And why can I find out the % of passes that Tom Brady completes on 3rd down versus the Ravens when the are in nickel packages but I can't read anywhere what % of calls these clowns get right? PJ
Sentiment: Strong Sell
As usual FMR is one of the leader.... 10 biggest holders are controling the direction of the stock... a collusion is highly probable... this last as long as music go on, I'm even surprised BOZO didn't announce a bb a la AZO... bb could be announce if stock drop back to $200 or so... just to fish more retail longs and let time to big holder to get partly out....
Anyway squeeze could push it a litttle higher but crush time isn't to far away........
