    Earnings don't matter

"Earnings don't matter, Bezos believes that, and hard core Amazon longs believe it. Were Amazon to come out with a decline in revenues, then it would be time to rethink my  position"

This is from the seekingalpha article. Lol this was the same argument at nasdaq 5000. Of course earnings matter especially for a company with 120 billion market cap.

    • Translation: Earnings don't matter when revenues are accelerating because they are investing in the company and Wall Street either believes it or the go along with it because the stock is going up.

Question: What happens when sales are decelerating and margins don't ultimately expand?

      Answer: Gravity takes over.

They'll love it until they hate it.
