This is becoming a pattern. Right before every quarterly report a leak comes out about another new ('killer', 'exciting', pick your adjective) Amazon product. This time its the set-top box. The 'business press' will waste time asking questions about this great new opportunity for Amazon instead of asking questions about how many Kindles sold, how many Prime subscribers, how much does revenue does AWS really make. Great post! I'm anxiously awaiting what will be the decisive pin that pops the balloon. What is the one line everyone quits believing, what invoice comes in that they can't pay, or man wouldn't it be ironic if they finally get held to missing a key metric, that sends all of this into a tail spin. It's probably years away but one day it'll all be brought back to a justifiable level and I'm really wondering what does it.
