90 Days Ago Quarter EPS estimate was 0.34 now 0.09 this year was 1.70 now 1.47 next year was 3.98 now 3.55.
Yet the stock is near all time high, how many quarters and years this thing has to lose money to lose $125 billion in market cap..... ok will be patient. I know it is going to crash one day to low $100s, but not sure when.
So we have even never estimates :
EPS for the year keeps dropping, from 1.7 to 1.47 now 1.32, it is probably going to end up 0.5 or below the way it is going. June has gone from .35 to .07 now.
EPS for next year from $3.98 to to 3.55 now 3.26. Crazy that the price can keep hanging out at this level.
It does have a household name and it employees a large number of part-time warehouse workers in various cities. I can only give them that much of positive in terms of stock itself.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
You are living in a giant scam. BO got re-elected. 42% of US population don't know Obamacare is the law of the land. S&P record high while 89 million people on food stamp. You get the drift.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
So we have new estimates no, EPS for the year keeps dropping, from 1.7 to 1.47 now 1.35, it is probably going to end up 0.5 or below the way it is going.
EPS for next year from $3.98 to to 3.55 now 3.32, this will probably be $1.5 the most. Fact is AMZN is having horrible earning estimates by analysts, for the last few years every year they estimate $4 in earnings, and they just keep dropping it down while increasing price targets.
Meanwhile AMZN has a rally with these numbers from 245 yesterday to almost 260 today.
Someday, folks will investigate why CapWorld added a ton in Q4 after cutting in Q3... Bottom line, there was no demand after Q3 earnings and it had to sell AAPL and others to protect its enormous position in AMZN (it was caught off guard). In our senseless "price is truth" markets, it (with the help of some quants) IMHO painted the tape and everyone now thinks AMZN can only go up. The unbridled confidence of the resident board pumpers and Scamalysts shows how full #$%$ the market has become... It will end VERY badly.
Tech so this is probably what was like shorting Enron, very frustrating, but if you held on you got paid.
Never shorted the crazy Nasdaq 5000 stocks, like ARBA etc all the rest, those stocks crushed a lot of shorts, this thing with AMZN is as close to those , in my mind even crazier to be honest. $125 billion company with no earnings, earning misses for the last what, 9 quarters now....
you can call me pumping: I just fight the Fed or make excuses for losees and keep screaming "any minute now" speculatores will be punished. Hasn't done you one bit of good rehashing the same facts in your mind. You 've said 'em all over and over again.
"I know it is going to crash one day to low $100s, but not sure when."
How do you know AMZN is going to crash one day? Define "crash" for AMZN. Occasional 15-20% drops are common place for AMZN.
