the near $1.0B Revenue miss at IBM -- how much did AMZN take? we shall see soon. Don't forget this press release last week.
"A Federal judge ruled in favor of Amazon Web Services in its bid to hold onto the CIA cloud contract it won over IBM." and don't forget earlier this summer... we heard,
Another day brings another wisp of data highlighting the difference in revenue between Amazon Web Services and the other megaclouds. this time the data is courtesy of analyst firm the Synergy Research Group, which says that for the second quarter of 2013, global infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service revenues accounted for some $2.25bn in revenue, with Amazon taking a whopping 28 percent of all market share (3x IBM's share)
amazon buys biz away from IBM, whats the net margin?
competes against every company in the world that does everything......company is the worlds largest house boat....not a very good house....not a very good boat.
i'm sitting back and waiting for a rouge wave to capsize this houseboat Ponzi scheme.
I agree. IBM's miss is AMZN's gain (small gain though)
I heard from ORCL's last conference call that smaller rivals (such as Tableau Software: DATA) are taking market share from the big guys (ORCL, IBM, SAP, ACN), these more innovative "small rivals" in the space also include Amazon Web Services.
I believe AMZN will bounce back tomorrow because it presents very good buying opportunities for dip buyers still on the sidelines.
Good luck all!
How do you figure that? Speak the truth, don't make up bunk. Amazon will most likely miss their estimates on both the top and bottom line (apples to apples not counting the fact that the e-publishing business may show a $1B increase just because of the way the business is now accounted for, i.e. the $1B would not be growth just a new way of accounting) and then they'll guide down and since we are still in the QE forever world and this is a very much protected stock, the sell side analysts will come out in support no matter what.
That's how the game works here and if QE were ending I would say the cartel might turn tail but with no end in sight the same baloney will most likely be bandied about.
Speak the truth not a bunch of lies please.
