    Thanks for the page correction.
    They now read
about the same up 0.75 on the S&P
    futures.

<Perhaps you should stick to your tic tac toe system. At
least that is right 50% of the time.>

    So far
on the so called tic tack toe system, a buy was
indication was given at 45 and hasn't looked back.
    I like
the odds. It also saved me on Intel about two weeks
    ago.

The PDAs will be used widley within a year. Just like
    cell phones are now.

    • Please look at the assets vs. liabilities in the late 80's, pre-profits.
      That was my reference.
Look at other high tech startups too.

    • If the balance sheet of amgen in '93 is
comparable to what it was previously and you are trying to
compare it to amzn you have to be crazy.

      Amgen
had current assets - liabilities of over 600MM with
long term debt less than 200MM.

      What do those
      numbers look like for amzn?

      Also, the price to
sales ratio was 5 and price to book was 5.5.

Again, what do those numbers look like for amzn?

    • My reference to Amgen was to show that companies
per say, trade on anticipated earnings, as AMGN did
in the late 80's and early 90's. When they became
profitable, the stock stalled for a year or so.

Desparate? Why? I don't control the market, and this message
board has no impact on a stock that can trade 79
      million shares in one day.
      This board is obviously a
ego stroking execise. Surely you know this Sonny.
      Read some of the posts.
      You and Nem are probably
the only two that can articulate your side
      adequetly.
Sonny, lose the, "All the poor saps that bought @110 ok,
as very few did, that is why it didn't hold there
for more than a few seconds.
      That would be like me
saying, those poor shorts that shorted at less than $1,
because the split adjusted 4 year low is less than $1 you
      do know. Correct?

      Take care
      Sonny

    • Look at the financials and see that Amgen was not
profitable until 1994, not 12 years ago. Also take a look as
to how the stock performed in the 4 years prior to
      AMGN being in the black.
      Notice that once they were
profitable, the stock was flat to down over the next 12
months. Where were you in 1988 thru
      1994?

      >Losses don't matter
right now, just like they didn't in the late 80's with
Amgen as they had huge losses due to
      R&D.<

AMGN made money 12 out of the last 14 years. Just go
      over
      to
http://www.bigcharts.com/intchart/frames/frames.asp?symb=amgn&time=8&freq=1 and do a chart vs. P/E. AMGN made money, just
like MSFT, INTC, DELL, CSCO, etc.

    • SONNY LOSES HIS MONEY!!!!!!!

    • Obviously the world doesn't revolve around
      AMZN.
But it does rotate around the Internet right
      now.
AMZN, YHOO, CNET, ARBA, RHAT, CSCO, SUNW, INKT, AOL,
      CMGI, MSFT, EBAY and so
      on...................................

Eventually AMZN will correct again, and when I see the sell
signal, I'll be all over the puts. I admit, I'm here for
      one reason only,
      $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

There is too much interest in the sector right
      now.

I'm going to bed now it's late here, and if ai'm
going to get lucky with my wife I better move
      quickly.

I'll try and log on tommorrow nite.

    • What a great time be long AMZN!!! This is a true
      momentum drive!
The recent split will be forgotten by
the end of the week as AMZN
      cruises into the 100's
again. And as far as the market cap not justified which
      all these loser shorts keep
      posting............
Just wait til revenues break 5 billion in 2001!!!!!!!

    • Just heard that the stock will be goin to the top for the week possibly hitting the +15... go amzn
