Jack, why the lack of interest infor instance the Jan.36 call option?Seems like a no brainer. Am I missing something?
Wrong I.D. I have 2.
What is it they say about rather be lucky than good? And if the stock tanks on whatever bad news the $650 options play will be the least of my losses.
Nothing against. I never mention options, because I do not play them. Years ago, when the market was more stable, I did covered Calls on good (not great) stocks and made the extra money. All of the research I'm dimly aware of says that playing options is almost as bad as giving money to the one arm bandits in Las Vegas, as the odds are against you.Not recommending against buying Calls, just not conservative enough for me in retirement.By the way, did you catch the Street just now sayiing that Linn is big enough for a buyout from the majors, but even if not is a good dividend payer to own?
You are mostly correct about playing options. I've had my share expire worthless but I'm feeling pretty good about the Jan. 36 call I bought at $.65. Did catch the street piece.
