    Wisconsin elections completed

Two Republicans lost their recall elections and will be replaced by Democrats, while the challenged Democrats won their elections. So, grothred, I guess this made as much sense as most of your comments:
"thank God, up north, the good folks of wisc has once again given their edict to the repubs in the state senate that they are not amused by the stupid antics of the far left dem senators of their state..."

Yes, you sir, have managed to comprehend and tie in most appropriately that we continue to fail to learn from our mistakes. Our forefathers FLED from european pol/rel, and yet not long after they established this nation, the very attributes they fled from started to creep back into our society, and fortunately, most placed a concerted effort at the time to stop it's entrenchment, but there was and remains those weak, failed low character types that embrace the fundamental idiocy of european progressivism, which history clearly proves is totally counter to the civil and moral laws which have been revealed to us.

      You also mentioned-
"We also witness a ‘general’ hostility and mocking of morality and religion on this board. By Washington, Madison, Hamilton, and Jefferson’s definition they cannot be patriots. So when people demonstrate their hostility in public what wise American would put any worth or merit in their opinion?"

Obviously there are some who no longer associate patriotism with adherence to revealed law, brotherhood, neighborly behavior. The negative aspects and power of self/greed is no longer a burden upon the consciousness among a portion of our society, thus they no longer meet the true definition of a patriot by definition and deeds!

The many discussions right here on this mb has clearly drawn this out as fact! I would add one additional, yet on the surface, casual indifference, that the issue of patriotism and its true relativism to this mb and our investment discussions is not an off topic issue, IT IS THE TOPIC, because it drives everything we do and say as Americans who STILL live in our envied republic!

Just what is so difficult about understanding what "fools always rush in when/where there is no vision? simple comprehension of that statement alone should be fair enough caution.

A nation wide re-awakening that you have highlighted the need for so many times is most apparent norris. Given geo-pols, domestic pol/rel, it is long over due and quite necessary. self/greed has so entrenched our nation that it is now not considered as abnormal, rather expected behavior. That says a lot about the direction our society is taking. Warnings of economic chaos, fraud/theft at the highest levels of gov't/business world, and many other obvious negative social issues have thus far failed to wake up those who fail to see the evil results of self/greed.

      Very good post norris!

      Have a great day sir!

      Glenn

    • Hi Glenn,
Yes we witnessed the melt down of a man’s ego into a tantrum. ‘I cannot sustain the argument but it does not matter for my wealth (materialism) by definition makes me superior to you’. The defining belief of a Progressive.
Back to the beginning of our country. The greatest social philosophers of the Enlightenment - Washington, Madison, Jefferson and Hamilton contributions to the Farewell Address.
      Patrick Garrity
“This effusive praise for what became known as Washington's Legacy stands in stark contrast to the popular and scholarly neglect of the Address over the past several decades - ironically, at a time when Washington's general reputation has risen sharply among historians. The reason is fairly clear: the Address is most closely associated with Washington's "great rule of conduct" - that "in extending our commercial relations" with foreign nations, "to have with them as little political connection as possible." Washington went on to argue:
Europe has a set of primary interests, which to us have none, or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence therefore it must be unwise to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships, or enmities. . . . Why, by interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European Ambition, Rivalship, Interest, Humour, or Caprice?”
We also witness a ‘general’ hostility and mocking of morality and religion on this board. By Washington, Madison, Hamilton, and Jefferson’s definition they cannot be patriots. So when people demonstrate their hostility in public what wise American would put any worth or merit in their opinion?

You're about to go over the top, hit the bottom my friend....your delusions prevent you from interpreting posts and remembering anything about them....you are attempting to establish an argument based on irrational behavior by turning truth upside down, inside out...this is a classic sign of serious trouble....If you can't hide any longer behind the several falsehoods of your statements on the mb, or the two or more names you use on them, where will you go?

Perhaps, and in all honesty and goodwill intended, your spiritual leader would be a mandatory first stop. There he can help with guidance of guilt, self/greed and truth, and get you refreshed! God is, after all, very forgiving. Those are very heavy burdens your carrying, and as I forewarned you several posts ago, they can destroy a person and you should shed them asap!

In your current confused condition, that's the best idea, get off the mb's, and seek help....then come back and re-establish your self....we'll be glad to welcome you back!

      Glty!

    • grothred, you made a stupid statement on this board, and it was a mistake for me to point it out. I should have been able to infer from your posts that you consider yourself superior and infallible, while the truth is that your mind is crippled by hate so much that you cannot correctly interpret what you read and see. I won't be replying to any more of your posts.

    • The nerve of this guy to brag about money when his bros are laid off....what's more he has bonds, and claims on a mb he makes more than I but has clue what I make? how foolish is that as a statement? that's delusional thinking on his part...not that i care, he cam make millions for all i care....I'm ok making the nice living I have, and I don't care one way or another if he is well off or not, but when your on the way down on a humbling experience, it's a touh road as I am sure you are aware of.

At the risk of drawing any more juvenilism, let me say I really do pity the guy...he wouldn't know truth if it knocked him down right now...a damascus road experience in the making here perhaps i think!

When you weigh character, he has self eroded his terribly! all the money in the world didn't help the rich man in the story of the poor man Lazarus...that wide chasm between the rich man and Abraham's bosom is a very difficult jump that can only be made after a very humbling change...hope he can see the need and make the change before it's too late...His current condition indicates a desperate mood and yet he has a way to go before hitting bottom.

Although I pity him, i share no animosity towards him, but hate the self nature that has him wrapped up, in self...

As the world turns norris! We've seen it before and we will see it again...sadly though...

Have a great eve...let's hope it works out!

    • low buy

there you go again letting your "SELF' override your better judgement....and show your greedy self...you're like a broken record on repeat! you just cannot help yourself any longer...

I don't owe a penny to anyone, i have solar pwr and geo thermal heating and cooling on my home, my utility bill is so small I am embarrassed to post it, as most here on this mb already know..and what does it matter anyway? I retired at age 54 and I can assure you I don't brag about my blessings and good fortune like you, as most people, except you, know here on this mb! What's more, I certainly don't think nor worry about you...how presumptuous of you to think I might!
and finally, I don't post on this mb with two different names, and if and when I did, I would tell everyone, not keep it a secret! Now, who is the pitiful one low gene?

Just how juvenile can you possibly get? each post sounds like you are crying out in a desperate need for help....get a grip man, your 63 yrs old! (or is it 73?-depending upon which name you use) go see your union shrink and get help quick, or better yet, read proverbs, every day!

Guess your celebrations you bragged about are dieing out real fast huh! I can imagine what the mood at the union hall must be like! pretty bad huh...oh, well, remember, it's a humbling experience! Hey, since your independently wealthy, give a couple of extra bucks to help those 40% laid off, to pay their bills...you know, those who are out of work because of your demands and failed efforts and refusal to be a fair minded citizen. You and your failed bunch of fools are responsible for them being out of work! You should at least help them pay their bills...you could have, but didn't prevent it because you are SELFISH!

How do you guys face those who got laid off without any shame, or are you that far gone, your conscious is seared so bad now, that it doesn't bother you? How shameful you never told us about the fact that 40% of the teachers got laid off! You knew this well before we did. You never told us anything truthful at all thus far gene low! I think your record of truthfulness with us here on this mb is minus zero now! Your sir are a despicable man with no shame!
      I pity you!

Fools always rush in where and when there is no vision...

    • grothred, I may make more money than you on Bond interest alone.

Hubris America can no longer afford. The Pagan progressive dream of getting rich via a trust fund invested in tax free muni bonds. Then sharing with the little people of fly over country but making it clear you are worth more!

      NO you are not!

    • grothred, I may make more money than you on Bond interest alone. My house and vehicles are paid for, and my only bills are for utilities, garbage pickup, newspapers and magazines, income taxes and property taxes. I don't think you need to worry about me going on welfare. It's amazing how much less you know than you think, and how unaware of that fact you are. You are pitiful.

    • norris:

You made several good points..."They were different than about 1/3 of the French population whom believed Hitler winning was probably a good thing because he was socialist.
Look at what the union leaders say today. One world government, socialism and forced approval masquerading as tolerance? America needs unions but not these ‘French’ unions in America. I can find plenty of union members in the private sector that do not agree with it but can any one point out a union ‘leadership’ which does not?

As we have mentioned at least several hundred times here, history repeats itself many times over yet many fail to learn it's lessons. We fail to learn from the previous generations mistakes and faults, and that sir is a great sin in of itself. gen/Pres Dwight Eisenhower once warned us about this...when questioned by many why he had mass media record for history the German abominations that occurred in the concentration camps of europe, he replied that he did so because the next generations would fail to remember what took place when you let man's reasoning replace that which God's laws require. And yet, even going as far as he did documenting these horrors, we now see generations that cannot accept it....this opens up the door for issues like this to happen all over again...allowing unions and pol parties to join in to attack a state gov't is a redux of the 1930's....

self/greed produces arrogance and a haughty spirits. Look around, and see what we see in our country today....power and wealth is paramount to common decency and brotherhood. Yes, we have come a long way over the past 6k yrs...yet we haven't learned a dam thing from our short comings and failures...we are no better off than the day Cain killed Abel, when Nimrod built his tower in Babel....

Union leadership like that which we witnessed in wisc, are the epitome of eisenhowsers warning. Fools always rush in, and fools follow them, when and where there is no vision of law!

      take care norris

      Glenn

    • Hi Glenn,
America needs a spiritual Awakening to the Just, Benevolent and Providential Creator who is the Foundation of our Declaration, Constitution, Federalist Papers and Washington’s Farewell Address.
Rather than do something productive LOW seems to think a dying union can be saved by spinning a dead horse. He will address neither economic reality or mathematical certainly of his agenda failure. A perfect example of Progressive taking good Democrats down simply because his personal arrogance is so great.
The Federalist Papers were about informing then leading. The progressive elite of the union was only about power and wealth. Are teachers respected in their classrooms? Have teachers been given the proper conditions to teach? Has student mastery of knowledge improved or declined with the union?
The only right the progressive talk about is more money and pension promises which the economy cannot deliver. Time for a new union leadership that is not souly focused on money and power. Teachers may make a fairer wage than when it was considered and respected as a Calling but in every other way all of us; every single American, is now poorer.
American Unions came from our church. They were different than about 1/3 of the French population whom believed Hitler winning was probably a good thing because he was socialist.
Look at what the union leaders say today. One world government, socialism and forced approval masquerading as tolerance? America needs unions but not these ‘French’ unions in America. I can find plenty of union members in the private sector that do not agree with it but can any one point out a union ‘leadership’ which does not? Did not think so!
Much needs to be rebuilt anew in America. It begins by being fair and fixing each problem in turn. They are not linked together and it is time fro ground game solution based policy.
