    Deutsche Bank Challenges IEA Report

Yahoo! won't let me post it, but Deutsche Bank has refuted the recent IEA report claiming the US would surpass Saudi Arabia in oil production by 2020.

The reasons cited were that the IEA's projection doesn't sufficiently account for price, costs, and returns, and includes natural gas liquids in its gross totals.

Deutsche also said growth implied by IEA of 600,000 b/d/year will overwhelm demand, and so price, and so returns, and so spending, concluding that the growth cannot be sustained.

Finally, a prediction that the US will become the world's largest oil producer is a self-defeating proposition.

    • What this country needs is to get rid of all of the lawyers and Chue and other brainless people that NO nothing about energy policy. Do like china. Hire people like technicians, engineers and actual oil and gas people. I mean come on people. We have NO state owned oil companies like the communist so how can we let them beat us up like this? I say take the energy part of gov out of gov and let the experts handle this matter. We need infrastructure. Shell exon conoco are willing to do this in china why not here?

Hum oil prices will then have to at least stabilize or fall. Very possible if we get our American made natural gas into competition and displacing it.

A functioning free market based energy industry? YES! That is what rational people want.

It is also why Progressives are going back to flog and hawk their primitive religion of base load wind mills and solar panels which are not economically viable so no country can afford and by their own admission achieves nothing to change their blind belief in man made global warming.

Thank you RLP you do not have a clue and sometimes even the shadow puppet fool is useful.

Lower and stable energy prices are a very good thing for Americans and every one else. This clearly goes against your primitive humanity hating religion.
