    Linn & Berry

    If Berry is so great and has splendidly knowledgeable staff, why are they doing so poorly? But more to the point, why are they projected to do so well with Linn at the helm but not their own guys? Now I've only made a cursory look at BRY, so there may well be a couple of one-off situations that account for their recent poor performance. Anyone?

      I was reading about their problems in Diatomite and it seems - hopefully - they have turned things around there from some earlier issues. Their Permian acreage wasn't performing very well either and they were reducing capex there. It appears they may have been shopping themselves for deeper pockets and found Linn. Not to say it's a bad deal, too soon to say that, but I'm wondering if Bill Barnett might have been a better one.

      Try their most recent presentation from their website....Notice the $48/Bbl margin and that they will produce about 40,000 boepd in 2013.

      Oh, their 2013 hedges are also listed....so do not miss them.

      You can start with that helpful presentation and your apprehensions will soon dissapate.
