Linn Energy, LLC (LINE) Message Board

Roger, on the topic "Norris" thread (which is surreal to me because I've Sand & Norris on Ignore) referring to Linn, you wrote, "I found it somewhat telling that they didn't mention derivatives in their last update." What was illuminated for you? Hedge derivatives are puts, swaps, calls, and collars. I assume that it's common knowledge Linn will do some modifications of them when it's advantageous. After all, they've one it in the past and done it pretty well. So am I missing something here?

    • Two clowns.....
I did not call him a lying basher....someone else did.

He does not know what a derivative is and you do not know the difference in how to use them for hedging VS speculating with the next to your last sentence

    • SOB had searched the message boards to find somebody, somewhere on some other board (in this case it was the KOG board) who called me a "lying basher" back in mid-2012. He likes to do that, in order to discredit me. Note he had to back almost a year to find it.

So, I went back to find why the other person said that (obviously I wouldn't recall it because it wouldn't have mattered to me anyway), but I had posted the above comment in referring to KOG (Kodiak, not Linn).
