      • Better than the general Obama new normal we are forced to live in.

I would be very shocked if we see our economy accelerate given the Obama tax increases and mindless games over the sequester causing the end of the world.

It is welcome. But folks need to factor in a wave of retail food inflation coming in this year and likely to continue. Real recoveries are built on increasing national income.

It is possible America could do a bit better on housing. But most of the support seems to becoming from investors who do not buy furnishings and such. Good for Depot. What a great company again.

      • Unemployment down, workweek hours up, record-high stock market.....this is good news or bad news depending on your point of view. GWB and his old pal Cheney don't like it. Did you see where Cheney is saying he would change anything about what he did? I talked to Bush at Beaumont, Texas, years ago......after a record-breaking month-long spell of daily rains, and he told me it was Governor Ann Richards' fault that site preparation for a new prison was behind schedule. I was skeptical about anything he said after that. I knew he and Cheney were lying about WMDs, just based on information available in news reports.
