WSJ - The Ethanol Gas-Pump Surcharge A 2007 mandate is needlessly raising U.S. gasoline prices.

"The fix here is obvious. The EPA has the authority to revise the ethanol requirements, and if it did so tomorrow the price of gas would quickly fall by about five to 10 cents a gallon. If EPA won't act, Congress can and should suspend the ethanol blending mandate to give motorists a break."

This is actually overly conservative. Ethanol has to be delivered to refineries by rail rather than the far safer, efficient and lower cost pipe.

Obama's EPA is aware of all this but for NO RATIONAL reason it is forcing the ethanol mandates even higher. Ethanol does not reduce co2, it does massively increase over all pollution, it destroys small engines without computer control and above 10% it will excessively ware even computer controlled injection.

" Refiners are also getting around the renewable fuels mandate by shipping refined gasoline abroad, because exported gasoline is exempt from the ethanol requirement. So even as domestic gasoline prices have soared, refiners are increasing their exports, and that too has contributed to higher prices."

Localized boutique and even summer winter blends of gasoline are technically obsolete by computer controlled fuel injection. The computer already adjusted the fuel air mix to optimum.

So all the Obama EPA is doing here is purposefully fragmenting our gasoline market to block competition and make gasoline prices higher than they should and could be. Remember to these irrational pagan earth worshipers higher gasoline prices serve their humanity hating earth goddess infested with humanity.

Obama and his Progressive do not care this hurts their voters the most. Ah but Republicans and brave honorable Democrats willing to go against Progressive corruption; Obama and Cornistan Republicans, need out support.

The world is going methanol simply because it is less expensive, reduces pollution, has a superior technology and improves energy/national security which ethanol in reality makes worse.
