    OT:KKR

FYI, part of the proceeds from my LINE sales went into KKR:

Private equity firm KKR & Co LP said on Thursday it will share 40 percent of profits from its own investments with shareholders and reported quarterly earnings that beat expectations, sending its shares to an all-time high.

KKR shares jumped as much as 7 percent to a record $21.59, and were trading up 4.9 percent at $21.17 in afternoon trading, as investors welcomed clarity on how much of KKR's profits from principal investments would go to them. While the payout won't be substantially higher than before, it will be more frequent and predictable.

New York-based KKR's cash profits nearly doubled as it took advantage of strong markets to sell shares in companies and sell some assets outright.

KKR, which has investments in retailer Toys R Us Inc and Internet domain registration company Go Daddy Group Inc, said assets under management rose to $78.3 billion at the end of March from $75.5 billion at the end of December. Besides private equity, the assets include credit investments, hedge funds, and infrastructure.

KKR also gave an update on its efforts to set up a real estate fund. It has so far committed over $650 million in ten property transactions, with about half of that money coming from KKR itself.

"I think that we'll club together a group of investors, drop some of those investments down into the fund to seed ... but it's very early days on that," Scott Nuttall, KKR's global head of capital and asset management, told analysts on a conference call.

KKR owns Samson Resources, which has nearly 3 million net acres and 4,594 gross identified future drilling locations spread across our three core operating areas; the Rockies (Williston Basin, San Juan, Powder River, Green River); Midcontinent (Hogshooter, Mississippi Lime); East Texas, plus a little over a hundred thousand acres in the Permian Basin.

    • LOL!!!!
Oh, please tell us how this post is not talking out of both sides of your mouth?
We heard about aall kinds of negative nonsense form your posts including some articles that were either recalled by the author since it was wrong, or one that advised against the very areas that now you post is owned by you new co..

      THIS:
"KKR owns Samson Resources, which has nearly 3 million net acres and 4,594 gross identified future drilling locations spread across our three core operating areas; the Rockies (Williston Basin, San Juan, Powder River, Green River); Midcontinent (Hogshooter, Mississippi Lime); East Texas, plus a little over a hundred thousand acres in the Permian Basin."

Sounds like some of the same plays that LINE has............RIGHT?

I wonder if that OIL DRUM /red queen author who worked for Statoil (who bought BEXP) would caution you about the Williston Basin?....like you keep posting & posting.....

..yet now you buy a company who is there....

It reminds me of the other fairytale when you claimed you "bought a bakken" and said that you bought Petrobakken.....after first posting reason after reason to stay away from the Bakken since you think the decline rates are too steep for your liking.....well here again is another example.

Oh, so first bakken is no good.....watch out for those decline rates, there was an SA article by MA posted, then the red queen, then the newer retracted (incorrect) SA article all to support that incorrect bakken-belief..
...oh but you said that you "bought a bakken"...and now another co who has a company with more bakken/Williston Basin.....[(Williston Basin, San Juan, Powder River, Green River); Midcontinent (Hogshooter, Mississippi Lime); East Texas, plus a little over a hundred thousand acres in the Permian Basin."]
wow....sounds like you really do like Bakken & LINE.

So, is that like you bashing the company(s) that you say that you bought?
It will probably not surprise that I really get a good laugh from your rediculous post

    • Board members...KKR (yield about 8% or more, ???) is now up 'over 37% YTD in Total Returns' and I am well pleased with it....! $tagg...!
