If Obama doesn't suck, then where is the Keystone Pipeline?
Is there any legitimate reason this is being slow-walked, to the point of essentially being halted? How does importing from the Middle East vs. North America and using U.S. taxpayer funds to support/subsidize the oil industry IN BRAZIL help our economy?
how does the US exposing itself to environmental risks of the keystone pipeline to help canada export oil sands to europe and abroad promote the well being of american refineries currently benefiting from the crackspread afforded by cheap canadian crude? The canadians can export to china ponce they build their western pipeline, should be ready about the time the US starts t export LNG to europe. Either way, with or without the keystone, that will make for an interesting shift in global energy trade patterns and costs
The people that benefit from the oil surplus in the middle of the US are the people that live in the middle of the US. Oil prices in the central US are lower because of the land locked oil. Obama is from Chicago, in the middle of the country. Completion of the Keystone pipeline moves this oil and will raise oil prices in the middle of the US. Gee, I wonder why the Keystone pipeline is being "slow-walked" ? Its politics.
