Never buy your entire position at one time.
If you believe in the long term viability of the company, now would be a pretty good time to start building a position in small steps. If it keeps going down, you have to decide whether to buy more or get out. If it starts going up, at least you have some of it.
At this price, LINE is a solid long-term buy. If the Berry deal doesn't close, Linn can buy other oil and gas assets. It's a buyer's market out there. But I'm not buying LINE until the price stabilizes for at least two days.
with no SEC resolution coming any time soon, there's no reason to think it cant or wont go lower. or, viewed another way, any rally would presumably be limited simply because of the uncertainty.
Not unless you are comfortable with losing money in the short term. The shorts are still in control. Watch the action. Upticks on low volume followed by heaving volume sales pounding the stock lower.
