Sometimes as we all do need a little trial by fire to make us harder and stronger. The past 2 Q's have definitely played into the hands of the skeptics. You could not ask for a better Play from Shakespeare himself.I have heard from contractors working in the field for Linn energy saying they always do things the right way.For the sake of the good employees at Line and the energy needs of this country I say once again to Linn energy management.Create shareholder value and commerce for our country.
Linn's CEO is showing a "lack of discipline" in managing the company. He's new to being the CEO and I'm sure when he took over he wanted to make his mark on the company. He's jumped into the water without testing the depth first. (Hogshooter debacle) I can only hope he learns from his mistakes and becomes a better CEO. But his rampage of acquisitions has been of concern to me as well as the underperformance of their development operations. Its time to hunker down and get the company performing. This aspect of being a CEO is not glamorous but it is necessary. I've never been a fan of the BRY acquisition, I think Linn is paying too much for BRY and the logistics of consolidating this big of an acquisition may be beyond the capabilities of the current management. Management should just concentrate on bringing value from their existing company. They have the reserves, they just need to more rapidly develop them.
