See that the UAW was just a very small part of the work force, this stands not true. Get a grip. I know union people all the time tell me this until they get an education and learn they are not what they think they are.
Middle class were built by professional men and women, laborers, union workers, doctors and lawyers (because they were middle class at one time) and others that made up 80% of the work force.
You, have a lot to learn, and stop being so gullible that you believe what anyone tells you.-

In the 1950s over half the US workforce was union. 40 hr work week, ot pay, fair wages, better working conditions, were all brought about by the UAW. I know my history, it is you who are confused. If you really want to see what it is like without unions in this country, study about working conditions in the 1880s and 1890s. You have been miss lead by the propaganda that has been pumped into our society for 80 years by the rich. They have convinced people unions are socialist, or comunist, but it is all propaganda to turn the working class in this country against unions so they can keep even more of the wealth to themselves. I repeat, I know my history very well. It is you who needs a history lesson.
