My brother rented 2013 Ford Explorer for a one week trip to Texas. I don't like the exterior styling of that Explorer, but the inside look very nice. The CR is right, its infomation system is a bit too complicated to used, too many menu and sub menus under sub menus. The temp control tabs was easy to find WARM and COOL, but to control the temp for the rear seat, the tab was hidden under another sub menu. If you never drive an Explorer before, good luck with turning the headlight on, we thought it likes other cars. My brother had to stop twice to turn on the headlights. Otherwise the ride was ok and it was easy for elderly to get in and out.
Street_fighter. GM produces a range of vehicles, some better received than others. So does Toyota - for example, the FJ cruiser is one of the worst rated vehicles on Consumer Reports.
I bought my first GM vehicle earlier this, it drives great and is far more reliable than the Japanese vehicle I used to drive.
Need to separate the politics from the company and its products, which the Forbes article deliberately muddled. Yes, a bit pricey, but a better car than the tin can of a Prius that I own. marthanurse
