An insurance friend just advised me that he was told the East Coast storm has resulted in over 275000 vehicles being totaled for water damage . Dealers dont have enough salespeople to cover the demand . Has anyone heard anything to support this claim and how will it affect auto stocks ?
Toyota Motor Corp. (TM) agreed to pay $25.5 million to settle an investor
lawsuit over the company's alleged failure to disclose information on
unintended acceleration problems that caused the stock to plunge in 2010,
according to court documents.
Lawyers for the shareholders led by the Maryland State Retirement and
Pension System outlined the proposed settlement in a filing in federal court
in Los Angeles on Nov. 13. The settlement requires the approval of U.S.
District Judge Dale Fischer.
