Dumb Move, Mr. Union
MI Gov. Rick Snyder and the state's unions had a truce regarding labor law. That is until the unions, specifically the SEIU, broke the agreement and tried to constitutionalize the unions intrusion into places they weren't wanted. Well, the good people of Michigan voted down their constitutional amendments and now they have real trouble:
"LANSING -- Right-to-work is now "on the agenda" at the state Capitol, but no decision has been made on whether to pass such a law, Gov. Rick Snyder said today.
Snyder's remarks signal a marked departure from his previous stance. For months, the governor said such a law was not on his agenda."
Once again, union leadership has blown it in their greed. Michigan...a right-to-work state, think of the possibilities.-
Non union people finally realized that they pay for all of the union benefits and they get nothing for their efforts.
Remember, unions are great for union members, but terrible for everyone else.
These are the negative things of unions:
1. raise the cost of living
2. raise taxes
3. reduce employment
4. create more poor people
5. drive jobs overseas.
Think about it. -
I believe non union people are finally realizing that unions are good only for union members. Fantastic for union leaders.
What non union people are getting through their hard heads is that they pay for all of the union benefits through higher prices and taxes and they get nothing in return. It usually takes a long time for smarts to soak into hard heads. It always eventually does.
An associate in Ohio that had always supported unions has finally stopped supporting union higher benefits for teachers when he found out their average salary was about 40% higher than his and his real estate taxes on his home went up almost a $1,000/year.
