All I know Webbie is that the growth of the auto industry in the next 17 years will be staggering. How in the world do you fuel a 4 fold increase? I am working on new powertrains that will have significant improvements in fuel economy....but it will be completely trumped by a 4 fold increase in global sales...
Electrics and hybrids are the only answer...GM is all over that info with a huge IP portfolio of advantaged powerflows. Toyota and Ford too...the next 10 years is going to be crazy. It is silly to say GM will do better than TM or VW will beat Ford or whatever...there is so much growth coming that the entire sector is going to do very well...just pick a couple and enjoy the ride

I predict, in the next 17 years you will be doing something totally different and won't be anywhere near GM. I also predict you will be STUCK in Detroit because of your blind ambition and inability to have a clearer vision of the future. You are riding the wrong coat tails, you are in the wrong place and rooting for the wrong pony.
You believe the garbage you are handed too much. Learn to think for yourself instead of becoming a Memo Slave.
None of which would be GM. Why? VW is in much better position financially, both the company and for the investor. Ford is a much better play than GM long term. Financially again, for both company and investor.
I'm a little surprised John didn't notice that - I certainly wouldn't expect today's news to change your mind. You are a committed, "true unbeliever". Would now be a good time to point out your oft stated conviction that this stock will tank when the government sell shares?
