      • “Your analysis of my analysis is what is suporficial.”

You spelled ‘superficial’ incorrectly. You’re hanging around iggydog and Blue Mountain too much, they’re making your stupid. Be careful!

“All we have on the new trucks are words and pictures.”

Here’s a little more non-superficial data, for your considered opinion. I searched on ‘2014 Silverado’ and got a little more than 8 million hits. There was one that was interesting to me. From the Dallas Morning News (where else to get a good read on Pick Up trucks).

        Some excerpts:
“The major changes for the 2014 Silverado and GMC Sierra include three new overhead-valve engines equipped with high compression, direct fuel injection, variable cam timing and cylinder deactivation for better economy.
The engines — a 4.3-liter V-6, 5.3-liter V-8 and 6.2-liter V-8 — and the trucks’ interiors received major upgrades, but both trucks also got numerous refinements to their chassis, cabs, suspensions, brakes and steering.”

“All trucks will be offered with six-speed automatics regardless of model — an upgrade for GM, which currently saddles its lower-end pickups with old-school four-speed automatics.”

“The new engines, called EcoTec3, are all aluminum and will shift from six or eight cylinders to four when power demands are low.”

“Inside the high-volume Silverado — GM’s top-selling vehicle — drivers will be greeted by an upright, six-gauge instrument panel and a much bigger, better-looking center stack.
The stack includes a 4.2-inch color driver information center, and both trucks will be available with a MyLink infotainment system capable of linking up to 10 devices.”

        And another thing,

“I relayed what readers on other sites are saying about your truck and you attack ME when you should be demanding the heads of these GM stylists on a platter.”
First, it’s not ‘my’ truck in any way. I am not a pick up person, I am not over weight and have poor hygiene habits.

Secondly, to me all pick ups look pretty much the same regardless of brand.

I will admit to not noticing the link to the blog at the end of your post, I got bored and didn’t read it all.

      • Come on webbie, you are better than that.( Or not) Large, gold, plastic Bowties for webbie!!

      • But web never said a word about the Honda Element , Nissan Cube or how poor Toyota did with the new Tundra. I hope no one bought his Gold Pimping or Silver.
web, also Loves Countries that Cheat in Trade with Americans

      • i think at the time the concepts were being created the company was going bankrupt and couldn't afford proper market research. like so many times in the past they just count on flooding the market with advertisements, financial incentives and poorly thought out leasing campaigns.

it's really sad that they are counting on the IN-YOUR-FACE trucks and cadilack bands for profit. i suspect they have to really discount these dogs to move them. i don't believe they are leaders in either category (trucks or near luxury cars) when you factor out gm and supplier employee purchases.
