so if my math is correct, GM received 1/72 of the same amount as the above mentioned 4 megabanks----------------3,600,000,000,000 + (divided) 50,000,000,000= 1/72 or 3.6T+ 50B= 1/72, so i.mo. GM was quite a good deal for the American taxpayer; or are those 4 more important?
As a retired gov't employee, I'm here to tell you for the gov't to willfully cut spending is a joke. I was a low level mgr, the first 9 months of the year we were very frugal, we needed to make sure we had enough money to last the year. At the end of 9 months we spent like drunken sailors. We had to spend the year allowance plus bout 10% more. This was to ensure that our budget would be increased by the 10%. If we had not spent the allotted yearly funding we faced a budget cut, but if we ended up spending more our budget would be increased the 10%.
No gov't office is set up to save tax money.
Gov't is set up to waste tax money.
'No gov't office is set up to save tax money.
Gov't is set up to waste tax money.'
You could not be more right. If government really wanted to save money, they could. It's quite simple. But spending keeps them and many others employed and nobody wants to cut that. Especially those large corporations milking the gov for billions.
