Will Tesla outsell VOLT this month?

I am expecting a big jump in VOLT sales because I have seen several of them scooting around here in the OC area this month. That $4000 cash on the hood might move some metal.

They're also running a $269 3-yr lease on them. Probably a whole lot smarter than buying it. I think Supor went that route. I'm glad if he did.

    • The VOLT is the biggest brain wash as being the best for the environment. When you read all of the facts it does more harm to the environment than any gas hog.
      How gullible you are.

    • Jeez Web, you like your long shots. Do you have Tesla shares in your portfolio? You and Kimes
might represent the only pent up Tesla demand. I'm not sure they can make it supplying all two
of you. A little outfit breaking into the car market is a pretty tough nut to crack.

Yes, it is VERY tough, and hardly anyone has ever done it and succeeded; no thanks to our idiot government favoritism of big companies and their union contributions.

However, betting against Elon Musk is a bad move. GM's been building cars for over a century, and Musk built the best car ever on his second try.

      • Tesla will do just fine...you just keep hanging on to that buggy whip Bunky

    • Would be nice to see just one of those Jolts. They say the 2012 at the local Chevy dealer has a $10,000 discount.Should sell by fall don't you think?Just need a brain dead to walk in that doesn't know any better.

    • Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) recalled 1,228 units of its luxury electric vehicle, the Model S. The recall was for Model S cars made between May 10 and June 8, and was due to a defect in the mounting bracket on the rear seat.

The firm is outrageously priced, however, and likely doesn't justify it with growth potential. While Tesla is a leading-edge company, it faces a slew of competition that could just as easily move in on the luxury electric vehicle market. The company has one of the highest price-to-book ratios in the entire vehicle manufacturing sector, at 71.5. That's nearly a 181% increase from last year.

The firm is outrageously priced (translation: I do not understand the difference between a GAME changer and a LAME changer)
Doesn't justify it with growth potential.(translation: I do not understand how the Model S will transition to other platforms and how volume--based on REAL demand, will ultimately drive down price)
While Tesla is a leading-edge company. (translation: Yes, the Volt sucks and GM has rested far too long on its 2007 laurels)
It faces a slew of competition that could just as easily move in on the luxury electric vehicle market (translation: An antiquated Volt with leather seats, called a Cadillac EVR, will elude affluent buyers from buying a Model S ...or the next gen Model X).

      • Jeyedolt,

I recommend you do not buy it then.
