    GM too big to fail

If GM goes back into BK, will the government use taxpayer money to bail them out again because they are too big to fail. With all the government fines, criminal charges, fraudulent BK filings, lawsuits it just looks like GM is heading back into BK. If they go back into BK, maybe they will fix this too big to fail problem with GM and break this up into a more manageable company.

They've already failed. It just wiped out the shareholders. And most bondholder money. And $10B of taxpayer money. And $42B in IRS forgiveness.

Why don't we just find 77,000 union guys in Michigan and just send them checks for $300 grand apiece? Wouldn't that be cheaper?

    • Hostess went bankrupt because the union never stopped demanding higher pay. Even when the union was told to ask for less or everyone loses their job they would not back down. Now the twinkie is made by a different company where everyone can make a little money. People will only pay so much for a twinkie. A whole lot of people wish they had their union job back. Did you want cheese on that burger!
