Total institutional sales of Human Genome Sciences' Benlysta rose 33.1% to $6.5 million in August from the prior month. With 21 business days remaining in the quarter, this implies a run rate of $17 million for 3Q11, compared with 2Q institutional sales of
$7.4 million and 2Q company-reported revenue of $7.8 million.
I am not questioning what you report, I am just correcting where it is wrong. We all human and make mistake including spelling and grammer which matter more to you. Math is something matter more to me.
If you think my calculation is wrong correct me. Only way My math go wrong if Aug has 5 week reporting period. That mean less than 10% growth, and stock would go down by 10% not up.
My calculation is facts & pure mathamatic with only two assumption Aug reporting period was 4 week and Sep you have 33% growth.
I ddin't see 17 Million in report (I am reading on TheOnTheFlyWall) but let's say it has that. It has flaw for either claiming 33% growth (If Aug is 5 week reporting period, you have less than 10% growth) or assuming 0 growth & 4 week Sep (you have 17.5 Million number which is still higher than 17 Million but very close that you might not reporting).
However, this number means that sales from June to July were flat at around 4 million. And the quarterly consensus of 20 million will not be met. This company projects the 3rd quarter sales at 17.5 million....
Don't try manipulate number so you can justify your short.
As per WK data,
July sale was 4.9 Million (4 week)
Aug Sale was 6.5 Million (? week likely 4 week)
Sep Sale ? ( 5 Week most likely)
So sep we will have 8.5 Million without growth and with 33% growth (Likely more given vacation season is over and more doctor start using it.) we can have close to 11.3 Million.
Only unknown is whether Aug was 4 week or 5 week. It change whole number game. Based on report I am reading, it is 4 week but it's not clear.
Total: 4.9 + 6.5 + 11.3 = $22.6 Million + Europe
It's really good starting number.
