What are you sadistic! Besides the airlines, this is will have a big affect on the entire economy.
Because of your financial condition, it may not affect you. But for most americans it does. That is a selfish attitude to have.
I am not a Socialist as you say. I guess you are one of his rich buddies who could care less about his fellow man. As long as he protects your interests he is great, huh!
This has nothing to do with democrat or republican, liberal or conservative, but what is right. So stop putting politics into it.
And don't get into name calling because it only shows your ignorance.
There is a lot of blame to go around including past adminstrations. Our country should have learned from the oil crisis in 1972 that this had to be solved. With cheap oil for most of the 80's and 90's, this problem like others with our country was pushed to the side. Bush wasn't here before 2000 but he should have seized on solving this issue in his first days in office even if it meant compromising. He should have locked key leaders in a room and not left until a deal protecting the country's future was struck.
Bush made sure we went to war and got his tax cut. I forgot, he had to protect his special interests.
Tell that to all of the lower and middle class people who this gas increase(tax) affects. Thanks to the moron in the white house, this problem was not addressed sufficiently.
Bush can't even lead in Iraq so who expects him to be a leader on the energy problem in this country. He was too concerned on protecting his oil buddies and auto manufacturers. He will definitely lose the election but the average person will be the one to suffer. Bush has to go and soon!
How I wish we had an Abe Lincoln type as our president. He addressed and solved national crises instead of pandering to others. What a novel approach!
