Up 3%. Is there any news or investors just realized that there is a higher probability that sapphire might be used in new IPhones as home button for fingerprint ID, not the cover glass and camera lens that DT and Sterne Agees talked about?
According to the local news, volume of the sapphire for the home button is 4 times that of the camera lens. Current IPhone camera lens consumes 1.5m 2" equiv. sapphire per month vs. 4.5m 2" equiv. sapphire for the LED lighting. So the home button application if and when materializes can significantly increase the sapphire demand.
