Biometric stocks advance on prospect of iPhone S fingerprint scanner.
Read an article (don't remember which website) earlier today, highlighting the stellar performance of stocks of companies involved in biometric devices. Those stocks are being bought in anticipation of smartphone manufacturers rushing to copy the fingerprint scanner rumored to be on the iPhone S.
I wonder whether the copycats will follow the iPhone's use of sapphire and, if so, whether there is any benefit in using high quality sapphire like that produced by RBCN. In any event, the greater the use of sapphire in whatever end product, the quicker the excess sapphire inventory should be reduced and prices increased.
Lost cards, forgotten passwords, and outdated keypads are a thing of the past. Biometric identification through fingerprints, iris scans, facial identification, and other technologies is unobstrusive, but reliably restricts access to your facilities and sensitive areas.
