New management's history with Ventana, built & sold to Roche for $3.5 billion
At the latest meeting in Denver with the new management team, CEO Larry Mehren mentioned it took them ten years to develop Ventana to the point where they sold it to Roche for $3.5 billion (I may be incorrect about the digit .5???). He also introduced a string of engineers that were part of Ventana and are now with AXK; engineers, mathematicians, software guys. They also mentioned that this time they would handle their own distribution and manufacturing. In answering a question about cash burn rate, Mr. Mehren said it was not an issue, and he put a great deal of his own personal net worth into this company. Very impressive. I certainly hope the naysayers/day trader/ shorts talk this stock down below $3 so I can pick up some more! The previous management team set the groundwork and the Ventana/ Roche team will take this stock into a world class venue. Well done!
And their new 15,000 s/f state of the art lab adjacent to the Univ Of Az hospital at bargain rent will be a nice addition. Sometime after their move is completed (by Feb 1) I want to visit the new facility.
