This Klothilde is a funny guy. He questioned and bashed your all in at .48c to low .50cs on CSIQ 12 month target.. and then posts a link for all in .42c by 2015 on SPVI which is less than 2 years away anyway. I believe we will hit .53c give or take 12 months out, so if they reduced less than .10c a year this year and next and half of 2013 we would hit low .40cs in 2015. So, why is he making such a fuss? Clearly he doesn't like CSIQ...now bashing R n D department.
I guess we will see how things play out this year...but its obvious he is maybe a Candbo ID or wearing different cloak. We have been looking great these past 2 weeks....looking forward to some more good news soon!!
csi34...couldn't reply to your post. From what I was able to gather from the 20-F, the total settlement was for $40 Mil., but they had only set aside $10 Mil...thus the $30 Mil. hit they still have to take. The final number was less than LDK wanted, which was about $73 Mil. So they got a little over half...
Hi sc, I think what they're saying is that low cost is only possible for SOL, but not for CSIQ, cause CSIQ's can only go up...lol...off course all the planets will have to line up perfectly first. And they're really getting desperate now, with the R&D stuff, especially since it was a total apple to oranges comparison anyways (as Odyd quickly pointed out). Funny how that one was posted moments after I posted that CSIQ hits new 52-week high one...LOL (how far is SOL from its 52-wk high?). All that great R&D over at SOL, and they still don't have a single BOS cost reducing product (unless you count those external field-mounted micro-inverters...lol). Other manufacturer's are way ahead in that department. And shouldn't it be the results that count anyway...not how much money that's been wasted?
All that stuff is really just a smoke screen to try to distract from the real reason why the market has so far voted for CSIQ over SOL... the "Power of the Projects" resulting in significant and VISIBLE earnings in 2013. For some reason they never want to talk about the "Big Differentiator".
and btw, the market's vote is the only one that matters.
on another note, win' has had some good postings on the other place...don't know if you still stop by, but keep em coming!
