    Please, can one of you engineer types, or anyone for that matter, explain to me why the US is putting all this $$$ in a single engine fighter? See the article below. If there is a Pratt flame-out or the engine falls off, there really is very little room for error (or even landing). Do we really want our brave service men and women in a single engine fighter? I would bet that if UTC's senior management or our politicians had to fly these things, there would be at least 2 engines, especially now with all the problems.
