I haven't listened to the call yet, but it looks like ADI can't avoid the global pinch. Margins and rev.'s getting squeezed a little, at least for the time being.
That said, amazing to note they had another record year in F 2011! And they added, what, $900 million to the war chest? Not too shabby.
Still curious what they'll do with that growing pile of cash during the coming year. If they're not interested in some kind of acquisition, they might as well keep pumping up the divvy - better than bonds, CD's, etc.
I clearly was wrong on this stock. I turned a $28/share basis into a $38/share basis. I'm holding this in my IRA with the dividends automatically reinvested. I'll have to keep a better eye on this one. I thought with the smartphone growth, auto recover, and new home technologies, ADI was going to do well. I'm disappointed, but reluctant to sell.
