Shorting BTU, ANR Here On NG

These fly when NG spikes. Time to short them back down....

    • Anyone else get these? Both made nice drops. Just wanted to point out that coal is another way to play NG. When NG goes up, coal goes up,as it becomes more economical in light of high NG prices. When you have a spike in NG like this morning, these coal stocks spike also, but they never hold gains, so a nice, safe short on falling NG prices. I couldn't short UGAZ today. Settled for going long DGAZ, but gain would have been much better if UGAZ short went through, plus the decay works in your favor over time. However, I made up for it by shorting ANR & BTU near their highs. I was short ANR since Friday, covered early for small gain before the spike, then shorted both of them again as they followed NG up. They each had two reversals today, opening lower, then rallying, then crashing. I took a nap between 1 & 3 because got up way early this morning because of all the noise about Cypress. When I awoke, everything had fallen in place. Kicking myself for missing LNG though. That was a no-brainer this morning, but just missed it. It opened down a dollar for unknown reasons, despite higher NG prices in pre-market. BTU still has a ways to fall, IMO.....
