What is funny to me is that all the shorts seem to have always bought at or near a high, which is crap. Secondly, I know many people in the casino industry and these vending data machines are popping up all over the place. I have nothing against shufflemaster as I have owned their stock for 3 years now.
I read a post about future investing and I agree with it. I look at balance sheets and read all the filings, yet, whenever I see good solid fundamentals in some stocks they STILL TANK! Now obviously that is in the minority, but because currently VNX doesn't have the greatest balance sheet ITS A POS??
All I will say is that this stock in a few years will make everyone money (except the shorts). The casino business will always need these machines and i'm sorry, but shufflemaster will not have this segement all to their own. Vendingdata does have a nice line of equipment and they will be around ;)
<I know many people in the casino industry and these vending data machines are popping up all over the place.>
Except VNX is pretty limited in the US by the number of jurisdictions that allow their product to be sold. SHFL is licensed all over.
I've heard there are a considerable number of new placements as well.
I wish VNX luck -- it's going to be a tough hill to climb -- With low cost production and now that SHFL's lawsuit has been trash-canned -- maybe they can do it?
>>...these vending data machines are popping up all over the place.<<
That's an outright lie. Mr. Newburg during the recent conference call spoke fairly specifically about the number of placements and nothing he said suggested they were "popping up all over the place".

Yup, afriad so. VNX pretty much defines a POS in most investors books. It's a company that has not made a penny since its inception ten years ago, has returned negative returns to its investors from day one, has manageed to lose over $60 million dollars since its inception, has gone through a series of management changes all with the same bad result, and I could go on and on and on, but won't bore you with details because it's clear that's not what you're after.
