    Up $10 in 3 months -- who's buying?

I don't get it. This stock has been steadily moving upwards for the last 3 months with no news. Granted, I think the diversification into the military work has vastly improved the company's outlook, but we are not talking about sizeable buys. Just consistent, small buys that keep creeping higher and higher. (I'm long, so I'm also not complaining!) But I'm beginning to wonder if the company is doing a quiet buyback to help address the SEC issue -- get rid of cash in exchange for stock.

Is there any requirement that the company announce a buyback?

Have you looked at the "market" lately? It has been going up for just about the entire period you are describing. The Dow Jones 30 industrial stocks have been making new highs regularly.

When the "market" goes up, the average stock probably goes up. I think this at least helps to explain NPK's rise.
