Stock market moves are frequently baffling. But they often times give great buying opportunities; such as the valuation on NTT at $20.93. Great company, great dividend; with a 12 month target of $28.00 (+).
Upside is 33.8% plus. Downside is minimial. Even if the market takes a 4-month dump investors will be earning a great dividend until valuations adjust to their rightful levels.
Buy now; or cry later.
Agree that NTT looks attractive more as a defensive play with seemingly good fundamentals. Wouldn't pay attention to the price target of $28 since that was based on ONE analyst's opinion in 2008! Seems to have good financials with a high book value. Besides currency can swing both directions. I am tempted to get in here.
Doesn't the continued decline in the Yen adversely affect the price of NTT? The best Japan focused ETF's that are hedged against a declining Yen. They appear to be the only viable investments in Japanese stocks right now. Holders of NTT will be continually challenged to make money over the next several months as the Yen continues to decline against the dollar. JMHO
