I couldn't agree with you less. MANY state and jurisdictional lotteries deplore casino style gaming and take extraordinary measures to dissociate themselves from the image of gambling. WMS is a slot machine maker and as such is directly associated with gambling.
There is a reasoning to differentiating between VLTs and slots. I fear that blurring the lines between a gaming company and a lottery services company may have the unintended effect of alienating SGMS's core customers.
IGT the slotmaker tried this and ended up selling out to SGMS. Before that in 1996 a company named gtec was courted by IGT. 2 very different business models. If you have confidence in the very same team that has disappointed alot of people for a long time then we wish you well. My 2 bits says SGMS will turn the 1.5 billion investment into 135M investment in short order. SGMS has a predictable method of creating small fortunes. They do this by turning big fortunes into small ones.
