    Warrants Expiry.

Killing the warrants due to expire at year end is an excellent strategy for the long term.

How it was arranged will always be a mystery to
    the public and the SEC.

    • The Elan A warrants that expire at the end of this year have a strike price of $18.715. (They were originally struck at $37.43 but the strike price was reduced in half as a result of Elan's 2 for 1 split. They are exercised by paying $37.43 for two Elan shares.) Thus, these last few posts, like most everything else posted by bs572, can be safely disregarded.

      • Kontil: thanks for the details about the warrant split. My sources had not been updated for the 2:1 .

As a rule, warrants and conversion options have a diluting effect on earnings if they lead to the issue of shares at a price below the average stock-market share price.

Now that you have confirmed that the warrant rights are excersisable, it makes the valuation even more interesting because of the discrepancy in prices.

Your posts remind me of the expression "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing".

Are you really mentally retarded or do you just get a kick out of irritating people? I am not joking.

Since it is the festive season, may I offer you some new year resolutions. Have a bath, buy some deodorant, buy some t-shirts that do not have x files or roswell slogans, and go out and meet people. This is how you meet *GIRLS*. Who knows, you may eventually come across one that you don't have to pay in advance.

      Happy holidays.
