Buyonpanic, yes the daily chart is very interesting but the reason is not fundamental weakness but daytrading. You are seeing a lot of back and forth trades between MMs to walk the price down during the day. The idea is to cover short positions. These positions are covered late in the day and then the process starts again the next day. Elan is a good vehicle for short term trading because of the low volume and lack of institutional interest. The only thing that screws up the process for the short term traders is when a buyer comes in and drives the volume up but the traders figure they are pretty safe until the SEC report which is far off.
