    We have a reverse image

of the bull market of the 90s. In both cases values and fundamentals are secondary to direction and momentum. Investors are selling because stocks are going down. The cycle feeds upon itself.

In my fifteen years of investing, I have always won in the end by buying hated stocks and selling loved stocks. Which ones will be the winners, I don't know, but that is taken care of through diversification. How long will it take, I don't know, but that is taken care of through patience.

I find it hard to believe that this stock once traded over $60 yet it did and not too long ago. Hopefully, a year or two from now we will all be amazed that ELN ever traded below $10.

I bought yesterday and I bought today.

    • We all should be looking at absurd bargains like elan and load up. YOU HAVE TO BUY WHEN BLOOD IN THE STREET IS RUNNING, WHEN INVESTORS ARE SHAKING IN THEIR BOOTS AND ANGRY AS THE DEVIL'S TAILOR.

      • Unfortunately, ELN hasn't just been bleeding, it's been hemoragging...If it wasn't for the fact that this stock has $1.6B cash on hand, actual revenues, and a strong product pipeline, then I would have exited along time ago...

My feeling is that with Q2 coming to a close, institutionals are doing alot of window dressing and dropping losers like ELN. There's probably alot of concern over holdings in their JV that have lost a considerable amount of value due to the overall decline in the bio-tech sector. Throw in SEC investigation and creative accounting wrt to JV, recipe for disaster...

However, ELN's longterm prospects remain positive and if your tolerance for risk is as high as mine, then I think you will be justly rewarded in 12-18 months....

If you're a shortie, congratulations...You've scared all the weak-hand ELN longs into selling and you've profited handsomely...And also want to thank you for giving me another excellent buying opportunity...

YOU HAVE TO BUY WHEN BLOOD IN THE STREET IS RUNNING
Especially that was your own blood.
