why is this "dipping", for lack of a bet

    ...word, so far down?!?

Anyone have any news about earnings or the "creative accounting" causing concern?

    Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    • YOU KNOW YOU SAID THIS! Stop saying ELN won't
convert taking ownership over 20%....the 13D spells it
      out....40%

Several key points. A 10-k by definition looks
back for the most part. So,a year ago at this time SHM
      was
trading at a 5/8 bid 11/16 ask. I'm sure you
remember that viscog. Today shm is over $2. A year ago
      the
company was filing for a 10k extension;this year
management did not need any extension. A year ago today

shm had $8,000 in the bank. For the year ended
12/31/99 shm had a little more than $2.5 milion. One
      year
ago shm's market cap was about $12 million;today
$67 million with prospects of breaking $200 million
      by
year end growing substantially. A year ago today
shm had no financing mechanism for the MSI's
      respiratory
program. Today not only is that mechanism in
place, shm RETAINS non respiratory global rights to the

MSI,and is nearing completion of the p1/p11 msi-albuterol
trial. A year ago today, shm had only a single

technology under the roof. Today, shm owns three advanced
      systemic delivery systems. Unlike inhale,dura,and

others, shm is NOT a single track technology company. SHM
truly is positioning itself as a one stop shopping

wharehouse of pulmonary delivery systems for the
pharmaceutical industry. That is why viscog and others, this

company is extremely vunerable to aquisition at a paltry
price which in my view is defined as ANYTHING
      under
and up to $8. Clinical milestones are coming in
1999...and while its a little early to say this might be

sepracor II,if management executes and builds a
substantial drug pipeline in 1999 with a late stage
      focus,then
this stock will be moving higher and you and your
friends can spend your time baking briguettes or whatever
      it
is that you cook. The point of my message to all
shm and prospective shm shareholders is that this

management has a plan to create and sustain shareholder
value. They have done it before and I believe are

going to do it again. When the company was broke, the
10k reports that insiders in stl loaned the company
      out
of their own pockets nearly $300,000. If they
      didn't believe in their technologies,in themselves,in
      the strategic
      restructuring,then they would not
made that financial commitment. That moment is
      telling. The fog is lifting.

    • Go back to the JMED board, since that's where you seem to belong. I have owned SHM since December at 1 1/2 and I want the good news about SHM to be shouted from the rooftops.

David, I have never emulated you, I don't even know who
      you are.
Why shouldn't they know the importance of
what SHM is doing, and their association with ELN. Why
are you trying to take their focus off SHM? I know,
you just want it all for yourself. Are you the one
keeping the price at 2 1/4?

      I noticed a huge
increase in volume Monday 3-29...is this a coincidence?
The 13D was filed Fri 3-26
      It broke thru
resistence of 2 1/2 on that same day.

      Something is
      up, and you know it.

    • I do not endorse and am not associated with "i
know nothings" comments on sheffield and would
encourage you to ignore them. This same guy apparently has
tried to emulate my name by using a capital 'O' instead
of a zero '0'. They look alike, but if you have read
any of my prior postingS on Elan or Sheffield on this
board you will recognize the difference. Setting the
record straight, and bapcha understands this well,Elan
for tax purposes will not convert into equity taking
its ownership over 20%. The shm 10k assumes total
conversion. Secondly, the Elan /SHM joint venture is going
very well. SHM's q1 release notes that the eln/shm
joint venture will initiate clinical trials in the UK
for two sytemic compounds. As for "i know nothing"...
I would just ignore him completely and not waste
      any time.

    • Currently, AGN enjoys off-label use of their
Botox for: wrinkles; profuse sweating.... It has been
used mostly by dermatologists and plastic surgeons to
      temporarily "paralyze" a muscle group.

      Going through
clinical testing in order to get this stuff on the label
      is a bloody expensive proposition.

      So, AGN is
smart [to have been there first]; and lucky [that its
product's off-label use is as larger than the population
using it in conformance with its label].

      I don't
know about the freeze-dried vs pre-mixed thingie.
Since the stuff is always given p.e [par-enteral], the
mixing thing should be a non-issue.....

    • I guess my question is why have they only filed
for Cervical Dystonia and not the other off lable
use. I was told that ELAN Botox is similar to AGN
botox except that it is already premixed where AGN is
freeze dried and needs to be mixe prior to injections?
Do you have or does anyone one know the difference
in the two Botox's. This could be huge for ELN.
