    Wealth Building

There are so many foolish, immature food fights on this board and I think I know one reason why. First, anything posted will be attacked, human nature I guess. But I believe that one reason so many young amateurs sling so much mud is this:

Wealth is not built overnight. Worse, even if you won a lottery and became wealthy overnight..YOU WOULDN'T HAVE IT LONG! All one has to do to understand that is look at people who have won such windfall. To be wealthy and successful, it requires not only money, but also management..and it is absolutely imperative that the management come first. Otherwise, what you get is lots of mouth, but no money.

I am quite sure, from profiling, who most of the wealthy people are on this board..not 100%, of course, but pretty good idea. Right now we have mudslinging to the ridiculous. Yes, I can be prone to sling a little too, but mine is directed at the mudslingers because they are disrupting the board. I am not at all concerned about the financial dip right now..here's why:

I also have hundreds of thousands which is not touchable by the market. If I lost every dime in my portfolio, I would still be wealthy. That's why numerous people say my posts are calming while most of you are screaming at Ken. The point here is that over a 43-year working career, and now 9 years of retirement, I have put together such an estate...AND MOST OF YOU WANT TO DO IT IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS AT MOST! It can't be done. If you want to be wealthy, you first need resolve (Not mouth), to work at it, systematically, for years with the goal that your golden years will truly be golden.

I also could tell you who the ones are here who have a good chance at wealth..noted by their attitude..they are calm, helpful, and determined. Now you can jump all over this, as I'm sure you will..It won't alter the situation however that the successful people will remain basically the same, the sincere also the same, and the screamers (Mouths) won't change either. Yes, you can upgrade from one group to another, but not by mouthy mud slinging..but by determination and effort! And don't worry about me, I've paid my due and will live in luxury for the rest of my life regardless of what you do. Regards/Juan

    • Juan Keyhomo: Get a myspace page for your friends and keep the dialogue here about CGMFX? Many don't want to hear about you making pizza's and what you do with animals? that's gross and illegal?

    • Juan, thanks for the response. I make a little more thank $100k, but all the money are going into building a house in Vilcabamba. So, I can't really put away anything... This is the first time in my life I have debt - not pleasant... do not know how Americans always live with it....

I have to learn Spanish and gardening and many other things that I've never done in my life - and I think it is wonderful... Even this adventure with stocks and learning is wonderful... I belive I will do just fine - I just need to find a couple more funds/stocks to invest in for these 3 years.

I will not have money for health insurance and that is a big problem, but I just trust in God with that. The alternative is my not going and keep working until I am at least 62, which is absolutely not a slightest possibility for me - I am living on a borrowed time, everyone who had cancer does.... Let it be what it is going to be - I always lived my life to the fullest and truthfully every day - no regrets whatsoever.... I indend to continue like that, I just need to move out of here asap - it is killing me to be hear... I actually count months - exactly 36 months are left until I can go... And, by the way, I am 53 now, I will be 56 when I retire and go... Best, and thanks again - stella

    • just taking off now finally

yeah I now have over a doz on ignore
I had my last spar with finance
I always say if I make one contact it is worthwhile. Fivespeed is another , he is out here and will start sailing with us after i get my jobs done on the race boat. I am in the test/ fix phase now and
better get cracking here. already past nine
We are members of a yacht club here, and meet dozens, but in the end only 3 or 4 couples
we invite to the house. and those friendships make it worthwhile.

The pizza stone wifie uses is pampered chef, have to go through a rep. the has bought two others
I think one was from Wm Sonoma and they don't work well at all.

so do you use a metal pan and then slide it in with a huge spatula thing?

    • I will have this done in under a month and will email you with pictures
and of course you will be welcome as our guests here.
My design will work well for Florida . it will be well insulated.
much more than any gas grill.

What is impractical is the usage, that they are hot all day as needed for a restaurant
and not a one shot for home use. My design , using gas will allow for immediate use and quick shut down

My outdoor BBQ area is a magnet for people and this will make it even better.
because if you open the front door , the heat will keep people close.
We really don't get any colder out here in the winter than you do there, so you will get plenty of use from this

I can pretty much say you will want to build one when you see this.
I will come in at a few hundred , the ones I have checked out are 3-4 thousand

so give me a month, I will use this as inspiration to keep busy.
as for now, one more cup of coffee and I will have a good head of steam
      hope sea is well

I am GFTD plenty of work to do on the boats

    • queens and finance could make a good pair so self righteous

both of them are driven to scold people who don't fit through this moral filter they have constructed
      in their minds.
How dare you show your success in such a way.
Well some people will take it as an obtainable goal and not only learn from your posts but also
use it as inspiration and motivation.

It is easy to see why wealthy people don't mix with poor folk. old money avoids new money ,
      sailors avoid power boaters etc.

BTW Juan, from our short conversation on wood burning outdoor ovens , I have decided to go forward with it , so it will be done well before it gets cold out here. Mine however will be gas fired so you only have to throw in a hand full of wood for the smoke.

also, I have lost your blog URL can you post it on your profile?

    • well at least after all that she is willing to let you live inside of the house.
I suppose she she could have made you live inside the Camaro , with all those
necessary parts you bought her . And I am sure you convinced her they were all very necessary, because the car was in danger of blowing up without them.

so I say you still got off lucky , we need to count our blessings.
My wife is very wise to me, no pulling the wool over the eyes any more.

    • I also feel that to much diversification will do me no go. my money will never grow. Right now , because the market is so volatile, I have put 90,000 in fx which is now dow to around 60;000 and I have 25, in SSGRX which I already had and was doing great but I am watching like a hawk because it is a sector fund. I had 50,000 and already pulled off 25,000 at a large gain.By the way my awful spelling is not indicative of my inteligence, but a disability combined with awful typing. and I know I seems I am asking for a huge amount. I am just very impressed with how kind you are and your knowledge and any help you can give me would certainly be greatly appreciated. By the way the same would be apperciated for other similarly knowledgable kind souls on the board

    • Juan, I suspect I come off as more imature and less educated than I am. I am 47 years lid an Ivy league graduate with two graduate degrees. But I do not think that those crentials make an experienced investor. MY father had that gift, but we did not get along so I never had the opportunity to learn from him. He was also a scum bag. I married the opposit, a kind loving wonderful wonderful caring husband and father but extremely risk averse.I chose to raise my children rather than pursue a competetive career as I have two very talented children (a ballerina and and opera singer, and I am a mush) We Never had any money to invest until my mother past away and left me around 300 thousand lst year. Thats it except for 160 in an an IRA and expences for college and ballet. I am afraid but I know that risk and smart investment and research is the only way I can held myself. Can you help me?

    • Your posts are enjoyable to read, but if you're going to use latin, please spell things correctly. It's modus operandi.
